| What is Postpaid
Billing?
Postpaid billing is rating
and billing for the phone call after it has been made. Conventional
long distance telepone companies typically use the postpaid
biling model.
Whether you realize it or
not, if you use Asterisk, postpaid call rating can be a
real mess. CDRs from Asterisk are very incomplete, and very
badly designed.
Simplifying VoIP Call Detail
Complex call detail records
can be easily be simplified before processing.
In
reality, all that's needed to rate a call should be: Orginating
number (account), Terminting number (called number), Originating
date and time & Call duration. Maybe also some routing
information to assist rate selection.
The objective is: Rate
a call, generate an invoice, provide summary and detail-level
call viewing. and collect money.
Global
& Group Rating
One of the best features of
our original VoIP Billing Solution is Global rating / pricing
tables.
Global
really means Global Pricing within one rating table: Any
and all countries can have unlimited breakdowns for local
digits. If no local digits, the default rate is used.
Group
Pricing: Is a spin-off
of Global Pricing. Any number of group pricing models can
be created from the global model, with flexibility to increase
or decrease rates by a %, and then manually edit specific
rates. All call rating is done from group pricing.
Rating Engine
With simplified call detail,
we can craft our rating engine to be very powerful and expandable.
Therefore, we can process calls from any of VoIP Platform.
